Whalley Juniors play and train at the Queen Elizabeth II Playing Fields in Whalley. Formed over 30 years ago, we are a proud FA Accredited grassroots Junior Football Club, dedicated to providing safe, inclusive, and enjoyable football for boys and girls from Whalley and the surrounding villages.
We believe football should be for everyone. That’s why we welcome children of all abilities, backgrounds, and experiences, offering a supportive and respectful environment where every child can enjoy being active, develop their confidence, and feel part of a team. Our club is built on the principles of fairness, integrity, and respect—values we promote at every level, from our youngest players to our most experienced volunteers.
Whalley Juniors is run entirely by a committed group of volunteers. From grass cutting and pitch marking to coaching sessions, matchday organisation, safeguarding, and behind-the-scenes admin, our volunteers make it all happen. Their dedication allows over a hundred young players to train and compete in a fun, friendly, and nurturing atmosphere, where the emphasis is on learning, teamwork, and enjoyment rather than just results.
We currently offer opportunities for children from our early-years starter group (mainly under 6s) through to our Under 18’s team. We are affiliated with both the East Lancashire Football Alliance (Sunday league) and the Accrington and District League (Saturday league), ensuring regular competitive football from September to April, with training continuing through parts of the summer. While some of our teams compete in higher divisions, our focus remains on participation and development. Every player is valued, and we aim to give all children the opportunity to experience the world’s most popular sport in a way that’s fun, fair, and rewarding.
Whalley Juniors is more than just a football club, it’s a community. A place where young people can make friends, discover their potential, and enjoy the game in a safe, ethical, and inclusive environment.
